Hew Ee-Lu has nearly 20 years of regulatory experience in the financial services
sector. As a trained actuary in BNM, he was involved in developing capital
adequacy frameworks for the insurance sector, implementing reforms in the
domestic insurance market and providing technical advice on various policy
initiatives.

In his current role as the Director of the Insurance and Takaful Supervision
Department, he is responsible for the prudential supervision of insurers and
takaful operators in Malaysia.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries UK and is a graduate from the
London School of Economics, UK and Cass Business School.
